Quality check
Use the Quality Check (QC) processing feature to perform inspections on products that are received or returned into the warehouse.
Miscellaneous information about quality check
Consider the following points about the Quality Check feature:
- The Receipt Detail screen has an option that determines whether the record is required to undergo quality inspection. This is configured on download from the host. Provisions are available to configure this option from a workstation.
- The Receipt Detail screen has an option that determines whether the reject quantity is to be adjusted when the QC status is changed to Complete.
- The application has options for recording and reviewing quality inspection information.
- You can record quality inspection information at the receipt line using an RF device.
- You can remove inventory holds using the QC Inspection option on an RF device.
- The application captures data required to pass inspection information back to a host system.Caution:Features for directing QC inspection for case-level receipts is not available. You must use a manual process to direct QC inspection for case-level receipts.
Quality check feature rules
The following rules apply when you use the Quality Check feature:
- The application posts adjustments of rejected quantities on a QC complete operation.
- The application does not provide automatic adjustments once posted.
- If you require subsequent inventory adjustments, you must perform them directly using the workstation.
- Receipt details that are marked for QC are not eligible for opportunistic crossdock.
