Creating a putaway strategy for mixed item license plates

See the Putaway Strategy section of the Configuration Guide for detailed steps to create a putaway strategy. Although you can use existing strategies for mixed pallet putaway, it is easier to create a new strategy with specific steps to support mixed license plate putaway. This strategy will be assigned to the owner to be used for all mixed pallet putaway transactions.

To configure a putaway strategy to support mixed pallet (license plate) putaway:

  1. To define the cutaway class requirements in each strategy step, click the Item Detail tab. Use any of the first three fields in the Item Putaway Class column to identify putaway classes that can be included (considered) for this step of the strategy.
  2. If desired, you can specify classes that should be excluded from the strategy step by using rows 4-6 in this column.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Click New to create additional strategy steps for all putaway classes that may be used.
    Note: Since all mixed pallet putaways for an owner use the same strategy, each putaway class needs to be considered to ensure putaway can find an acceptable location.
