Setting up an FTP server

If the Infor SCE WM server is running on a UNIX operating system, one option for label printing is to set up an FTP server on the Loftware machine, and then configure the Infor SCE WM server to send the label files to the Loftware machine through FTP. This section provides a brief explanation for installing and configuring an FTP server on the Loftware machine.

A number of FTP servers are available from different vendors. This section describes the installation and configuration of the FTP server that is part of the Internet Information Services (IIS) software component included with the Windows XP Professional CD. If you are using a different vendor's FTP server, follow the setup instructions included with the software.
