Working with the Loftware label manager
You can use the Infor WMS WM Module to print pre-configured inbound and outbound labels. The label information is written to xml files on the application server. The Loftware print server must be configured to print labels from these xml files. This section includes the procedures for setting up and maintaining a Loftware label manager.
When printing labels, the label information is first written to xml files on the application server. These xml files are created at run time in the folders specified through the configuration parameters. A drive letter must be mapped on the Loftware print server to the folder containing the label files, and the Loftware print server must be configured to scan the mapped drive for label files to print.
If the application server is running on a non-Windows operating system such as UNIX, it might not be possible to map a drive letter on the Loftware print server to the folder containing the label files on the Infor SCE WM server. This is due to the differing file systems.
An FTP server could be installed on the Loftware machine, and the FTP option could be turned on in the Infor SCE WM server through the FTP configuration parameter. If the FTP option is turned on, the Infor SCE WM server sends the label files created on the Infor SCE WM server to the Loftware machine by FTP. In this case, the Loftware print server must be configured to scan the FTP destination directory on the Loftware machine for printing labels.
