Performing an outbound move

The application generates a move task from the PND location to the putaway location.

  1. Select Main menu > Task Manager from RF device. The Task Manager (TMM) screen is displayed.
  2. Select Standard. The Task Manager (T1) screen is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    Area
    The area or location for the tasks. If this field is blank, the application finds tasks for all areas in which you have permission.
    Task
    The type of move tasks to select. You must specify OSM – Outbound Staging Move. If nothing is selected, non-move tasks are sent.
  4. Press Enter. The OB Stage MV screen is displayed.
  5. Specify this information:
    FROM
    The location from which the item is moved.
    LPN
    The current LPN of the item that is being moved.
  6. Press Enter. The RF device transmits the data to the application database.
  7. Perform one of the following:
    • To accept the next task, press Enter.
    • To exit the screen, press Esc.
Note: 
  • LPN is not required. However, you can specify to move the case IDs from the original drop ID to a new drop ID.
  • If you do not specify an LPN in the first LPN field and press Enter, the system searches for an available OSM task.
    • If there is no move task assigned, the system displays the Nothing to do message.
    • If there is one or more tasks, you must specify the task with the highest priority. After priority, tasks must be sent based on the scheduled ship date or time in the ascending order for the case ID.
  • If you specify an LPN (drop ID or a case ID) and there is a task for the case ID that exists, a new task is not created and you can also complete the move task.
  • If there is a task and the To Loc is not populated, the system determines the To Loc based on the outbound move strategy on the zone.
