Completing item counts
Item level counts will display for every item found on the production order regardless of inventory in the speed pick location. If LPN counts were performed for the item, another count will display for the item once all license plates are counted.
To complete item counts:
-
Within the
LPN field, specify the
license plate, if there is one, for the count. The system will eventually
reconcile the inventory even though the system inventory may not reflect that
the license plate in that location at the time of the count.
- If the system does not recognized the specified LPN or it does not exist in the count location, the prompt "LPN XXX not found in inventory. Do you want to add LPN to Item/Lot?" is displayed.
- If you press Y for Yes, the CC Add LPN PCC2 screen is displayed. You can edit the existing entries or add entries to the LPN, Lot #, and Qty fields. Once you have completed the required fields, press Enter. The inventory records are updated and the cycle count details are created. The Cycle Count PCC1 screen is again displayed.
- If you press N for No, the prompt is dismissed and the Cycle Count PCC1 screen is again displayed.
-
Within the
Qty field, specify the
quantity in master units found on the license plate.
After every count is completed for an item, the system will again display the same item number to allow another LPN to be counted if needed. Once all counts have been completed for the item, press the F3 key to complete the counts for the item. This confirmation message is displayed:
Are all counts complete for this item? Y/N
- Press Y (for Yes) to confirm. This will update the task for the item to Complete status.
-
Repeat the count process for all Production Cycle Counts as
directed by the task manager.
Once all counts are complete for all items on the production order, the following message displays.
All counts are complete for this production order. Use the Finalize Close option to complete the order.
If the Infor WMS Labor module is enabled, the task performance information is displayed.
Note: This type of cycle count is different than the normal task count. This production count does not use tolerance levels for the cycle class to validate the quantity counted as occurs in normal cycle counts. The system setting TOLERANCEPCTPRODCOUNT can be used to provide a tolerance level to avoid large incorrect count entries. Additionally, if the same item and license plate are counted multiple times, only the last count will be logged. Standard task counting will log each count of the same information instead of using only the final count. All cycle count information for a production order can be viewed in the Cycle Count screen by searching on the order number. - See Finalizing the production order close for information on completing the order.
