Verifying host application process complete before shipping

In some instances, a host application (for example, an ERP) process must be complete before the goods can be shipped within the SCE application. The host application can prevent the shipment from shipping by setting the Host Processing Required field on the shipment order header when the order is created through the API. The order can be allocated, picked, packed, and loaded as usual, but not shipped. When the host application processing is complete, the host sends a message to update the Host Processing Required field to release the shipment order for shipping.

To manually maintain the Host Processing Required field in the warehouse:

  1. Select Outbound > Shipment Order.
  2. Click the Search icon. The list of shipment orders is displayed.
  3. Select a specific shipment order. The order record is displayed.
  4. Click the Misc tab.
  5. Select the Host Processing Required field check box.
  6. Click Save.
