Sample uses of Item Facility Control Groups
Use the Facility Control Groups to indicate the type of items managed in the enterprise that needs to be handled differently by facility.
- Facility control groups are created for Electronics, Food, Apparel, and Houseware. These groups identify the facilities for each type of product. If a warehouse only manages Houseware and Electronics, you can create a facility control group that will be used for electronic & houseware items. The group will only be active in the appropriate facilities.
- Facility Control Groups are used to indicate the facilities to which an item is enabled. Instead of using the type of product, you define groups by location such as Dallas, London, Sydney, and Sydney and Dallas and assign those groups to the facilities accordingly.
