Adding Allowance Details

You can define allowance details for allowance types of discrete value or data range. Note that since the flat percent allowance uses the default percentage only, you cannot define allowance details for the flat percent allowance.

  1. With an allowance displayed, click the New button on the Allowance Detail tab.
  2. Specify this information:
    Discrete value
    If the allowance type is Discrete Value, specify the discrete value for the labor engine. The labor engine is programmed to find an exact match between the specified value and the value referenced by the Object and Field combination.
    Range Value (lower bound)
    If the allowance type is Data Range, specify a value as a lower bound. The labor engine is programmed to treat the specified value as a lower bound. When the value referenced by the Object and Field combination is greater than or equal to the specified value, then the criteria can be used for the allowance. Configure another record with its lower boundary of the range and that will serve as the upper boundary of the previous record.
    Percentage (%)
    Specify the percentage of time to add to the operation or element.
  3. Click Save.

    If you want to delete a detail record, select the applicable detail from the list view and click Delete.
