Defining the Aisle Position
If you specified an initial number of aisle positions on the
Travel Section header, the
system identifies the aisle positions in your travel section based on the
arrangement of the locations in the section. The system determines this using
the X, Y, and Z values on the Location record in the integrated Warehouse
Management system. You can use this tab to review the system-calculated aisle
positions and make any necessary changes.
- Aisle Position
- The X or Y value based on the aisle orientation defined on the header. This value identifies the position of the aisle.
- Travel Direction
- The direction that the equipment can travel in the aisle. Values
include:
-
Increasing
- Equipment can travel in one direction only.
- Equipment moves according to increasing X or Y location values based on the aisle direction.
-
Decreasing
- Equipment can travel in one direction only.
- Equipment moves according to decreasing X or Y location values based on the aisle direction.
- Both: Equipment can travel in both directions within the aisle.
-
Increasing
- Speed
- Indicates the equipment travel speed along this boundary. The available travel speed selections are Slow and Fast. In general, equipment travels slower inside the aisles than it travels in main aisles.
