Labor planning overview

Use the Labor Planning function to plan the labor requirements for each work day. This view projects the amount of work to complete each day. You can plan for short periods such as one through seven days because the data is based on actual WM orders. The key features of planning are:

• Providing the plan view for the requested information
• Providing what-if analysis on the plan view by changing:
  • The amount of work on a day
  • The distribution across shifts, and
  • The number of resources

    The plans incorporate versioning, which means that you can create multiple versions for a given planning day and later determine the final version.
