Assigning a default value to a widget

Within Rule Builder, you can assign a dynamic default value to a widget. You can assign either a static value or a derived value from another widget as the default value.

A default value is a user-defined value that displays in desired field when the desired field value is blank. If you define an expression for either a static or derived default value, the expression is executed only when the destination widget (widget in the Actions block of a rule) is blank.
