Location Map Configuration
To display a warehouse, the locations in the facility must contain coordinate information along with height, width, and length.
Locations are positioned on the facility viewer map using a Cartesian coordinate system. The lowest X and Y coordinate is at the bottom left corner of the map. If your facility expands, you may want to leave additional space for the new locations and start your locations at a higher coordinate value, for example: (5000,5000). The X, Y, and Z coordinates determine where the bottom front center of the location is on the map. The units should be the same as the units used for item configuration and the location height, width, and length.
Locations are shown based on these configurations:
Field | Description |
---|---|
X Coordinate | The X Coordinate of the location. The X Coordinate increases as you move from left to right on the screen. This value must be provided as a positive whole number expressing the distance from the lower left corner. |
Y Coordinate | The Y Coordinate of the location. The Y Coordinate increases as you move from bottom to top on the screen. This value must be provided as a positive whole number expressing the distance from the lower left corner. |
Z Coordinate | The Z Coordinate of the location. The Z coordinate is used to specify how high off the floor the location is. This value must be provided as a positive whole number expressing the distance from the floor of the section. |
Orientation | The face of the location where product is accessed. These are in compass degrees 0, 90, 180, or 270 where 0 is toward the top of your screen (increasing y-direction) and 90 is to the right of your screen in an increasing x-direction. |
Length | The depth of the location. The location is drawn with the depth in the opposite direction of the orientation. This value must be provided as a positive integer and not as a decimal. It is in the same units as the coordinate system. |
Width | Width of the location. The location is drawn with ½ of the width to one side of the X/Y coordinate and ½ of the width on the other side of the X/Y coordinate such that the X/Y coordinate is centered in the middle of the front face of the location. This value must be provided as a positive integer and not as a decimal. |
Height | Height of the location. The location is drawn of the height specified starting from the Z coordinate. This value must be provided as a positive integer and not as a decimal. |
Level | This is currently unused. |
