Inventory hold overview

An inventory hold is an action that maintains inventory visibility but prevents shipment in standard processing. You can place a hold on inventory from either a workstation or an RF device during receipt. On the workstation, you can put inventory on hold according to lot, License Plate Number (LPN), or location on the Inventory Holds screen. You also can put locations on hold on the Location screen.

You can ship held inventory based on the specific configuration for the type of order and the reason code you assign to the inventory on hold. See the Infor WMS Order Processing User Guide for information on how to use this feature.
