Creating a request to count on a workstation

  1. Select Execution > Cycle Count > Count Request. The Request to Count is displayed.
  2. Click New. The Request to Count Detail screen is displayed in Form View.
  3. Requests to Count are created based on a range of data. Specify this information:
    Owner
    Start and End
    Item
    Start and End
    Location
    Start and End
    Level
    Start and End
    Zone
    Start and End
    Area
    Start and End
    Include Empty Location
If Include Empty Location flag is checked the system creates CC task details for locations with no inventory associated to them for the Location Range & Level Range.
    Priority
Indicates the priority of a request to count. Available selections in the range from 1 - Highest Priority to 9 - Lowest Priority with default value 5 - Mid Priority.
    Host Direct Count
Indicates if the request is created by a host system (that is, an ERP). When used this is also referred to as a Fiscal Driven Cycle count.
Note: You cannot modify this field and populate only if a host system triggers the count request using a BOD.
    Reference Number
The PI control or other reference number from a host system used for traceability between a Physical Inventory and a CC Request.
Note: You cannot modify this field and populate only if a host system triggers the count request using a BOD.
    Initiating Document
The document reference, or ID passed from a host system, which can be used for troubleshooting a Host Directed Count.
Note: You cannot modify this field. This is populated only if a host system triggers the count request via a BOD and sends a value for this field (optional).
  4. Click Save.
Note:  Each Count Request has a process option initially set to Not Processed. When the Count Request status is released, this option is updated to Processed so that the same Request to Count is not released more than once.
