EPScan Item and Location
You can use the EPScan Item,Loc option from
the Cycle Count list option, to scan an item or EAN
number for each quantity against a location. Scanning of items can be repeated until you
confirm on the EPCCSL2 screen that the quantity for the scanned location is complete. Each
scanning you perform is counted and the total count is updated as CC quantity for the
corresponding detail line of the CC detail record.
If you scan an item designated as an alternate item, the barcode UOM associated to it and the quantity of the article picked increase by the master units count configured to the Barcode UOM. For each subsequent scan, the scanned quantity is increased by UOM units.
To support this functionality, the Barcode UOM for Each Piece CC scan field is added to these screens:
- Item screen on the Alternate tab
- Alternate Item screen
Note:
- You cannot scan each piece for a cycle count of an item if the piece is configured for serials capture, catch weights, or summary weights.
- The discrepancy rule is applied if the cycle count discrepancy rule is configured for the item.
You can use the Each Piece Scan option for these scenarios with a valid location:
- Item exists in a location with a single Lot.
- Item exists in the location with multiple lots, and the CC discrepancy rule is configured for that item.
- Multiple items in a location with a single lot.
- Multiple items in a location with multiple lots, and the CC discrepancy rule is configured for those items.
