The administrator must clear the option. If this option is selected and overallocation occurs, the application automatically loses the license plate number (LPN). Dynamic allocation processing requires LPNs.
Using task manager for dynamic picking
Use the system flag you can select the following options on the Detail tab of the Zone Detail screen before performing dynamic allocation and picking:
Use the system flag ENABLETASKSFORDYNAMICPICKS to allow the system to create tasks for license plate picks for items that use dynamic allocation logic.
This flag triggers creation of new tasks DP for Dynamic Picking at Order/Wave Release time. These tasks have suggested location which can be used for task interleaving. This location is determined as the first available location for the product with the oldest lot. These locations are an initial suggestion only and the inventory is not reserved from this location. When the order is being picked, the initial location on the task may not have inventory available to pick. The system will direct the user to a location that meets product rotation requirements for the item.
