Applying outbound lot control rules during classic pre-allocation
During classic pre-allocation, the following rules are applied for lot selection if the Ship To/Owner/Item combination on the shipment order has the Exclude Last Shipped selection set to On within the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To screen. (See the Infor SCE Warehouse Management Module Order Processing User Guide for information on the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To and Shipment Order Detail screens.)
- You can only select lots that meet the Ship To minimum shelf life requirements [Expiration Date (Lottable05) - Current Date > shipment order detail Shelf Life value].
- If the Item Rotate By value on the shipment order detail is set to Expiration Date (Lottable05), you can only select lots that are not older than the Last Shipped Expiration Date (Expiration Date (Lottable05) >= Last Shipped Expiration Date).
- If the Item Rotate By value on the shipment order detail is set to Manufacturing Date (Lottable04), you can only select lots that are not older than the Last Shipped Manufacturing Date (Manufacturing Date (Lottable04) >= Last Shipped Manufacturing Date).
After excluding the above lots, the following rules are applied for lot selection if the Ship To/Owner/Item combination on the shipment order has the Exclude Returned Lots selection set to Yes within the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To screen.
- If the Exclude Returned Lots value within the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To screen is set to Yes, you cannot select lots in a return lot for the specific Ship To.
The Allocation Lot Limit rules can be used with or without the Exclude Last Shipped logic and Exclude Returned Lot logic. If the Ship To/Owner/Item on the shipment order has the Exclude Last Shipped and Exclude Returned Lots selections both set to No within the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To screen, you can use the following allocation lot limit rules.
- If the Allocation Lot Limit
selection within the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To screen is set to Only 1
Lot (indicating you only want to ship one lot):
- Allocate the first lot that has sufficient quantity to fully allocate the quantity on the shipment order detail.
- If no lots fully satisfy the quantity, allocate the lot that has the most available quantity.
- If the Allocation Lot Limit
selection within the Outbound Lot Control by Ship To screen is set to No Limit
(indicating you do not want to limit the number of lots shipped):
- Allocate as many lots as needed to fulfill the order quantity.
