Use this tab to configure putaway strategy and automate management of holds on incoming inventory to a warehouse.

Specify this
information:
AUTOMATIC HOLDS CONTROL
- Automatic License Plate Hold at Receipt
- Hold code to use if the item is automatically placed on license plate hold upon receipt. This is only used if a LPN is assigned.
- Calculate Automatic License Plate Hold Release Using
- Identifies the criteria
to be used to calculate the date and time to automatically release a
license plate hold. Note: Only used if the hold is to be automatically released.
This can be calculated using either:
- The Date/Time of the Receipt
- The Manufacture Date (Lottable04 Value) recorded
- Number of Hours for Automatic License Plate Hold
- The number of hours to keep the LPN on hold if an automatic release is desired. Leave this as zero (0) if there is not going to be an automatic release.
- LOT Hold Code
- Hold reason to be applied when a new lot is received for this item.
- Calculate Automatic LOT Hold Release Using
- Identifies the criteria
to be used to calculate the date and time to automatically release a
lot hold. Note: Only used if the hold is to be automatically released.
This can be calculated using either:
- The Date/Time of the first receipt for the lot number
- The Manufacture Date (Lottable04 Value) recorded
- Number of Hours for Automatic LOT Hold
- The number of hours to keep the LOT on hold if an automatic release is desired. Leave this as zero (0) if there will not be an automatic release
PUTAWAY CONTROL
- Putaway Strategy
- Strategy to be used for item putaway. Required.
- Putaway Strategy for Replenishment Residue
- The strategy to be used for replenishment residue putaway. The
putaway strategy is used for calculating the To location while doing the
putaway for replenishment residue quantity.Note:
- This value is defaulted from the Owner configuration.
- The RF directed Replenishment screen is only enabled when you select this check box.
- Putaway Zone
- Zone where the item is to be put away. Required.
- Auto Move Strategy
- Strategy to be used for item putaway with Auto Move criteria.
- Putaway Class
- This is used by the system when a mixed license plate is created at receipt to ensure all items on the LPN have the same classification and should be put away together. Putaway Classes used here can defined in System Codes, Code PACLASS.
- Putaway Location
- Location where the item is to be put away. Required.
- Stack Limit
- Maximum number of
pallets that can be stacked vertically for this SKU. Used if a putaway strategy
has the Dimension Restriction set to Fit by Stack Limit.
Default value: 0
- Capture Inbound Temperature
- Specify Yes to require operators to enter temperature readings during the receiving process for this item. Temperature readings can be entered on RF screens and on the ASN/Receipt screens for each pallet on a load.
- Max Pallets Per Zone
- Maximum number of
pallets that can be put away to any one zone for this SKU. This is used if a
putaway strategy has the Dimension Restriction set to Fit by Zone
Limit.
Default value: 0
- Inbound Catch Data Strategy
- The strategy to be used for inbound catch data. When an inbound
catch data strategy is assigned to an item, the system reviews the Receipt
Type in the detail of the strategy to determine if Catch Data is to be
captured.Note: This field value can only be modified if the Inbound Catch Data check box is selected on the Weight/Data tab.
- Receipt Validation
- This is the same field seen on the Owner screen. The owner value is used as a default for this field, which determines the validation logic to be used when the SKU is received. Required
- RF Default Receiving Pack
- Default pack to use for the item at time of receipt. Can be overridden after the item is received.
- RF Default Receiving UOM
- Default UOM to use with the item at time of receipt. Can be overridden after the item is received.
- Item Type

Select the Item Type. Options are:
- Items are not COOL/BIO-Terrorism Compliant
- Items are COOL Compliant
- Items are BIO-Terrorism Compliant
- Items are both COOL and BIO-Terrorism Compliant
- Allow Multiple Lot LPN of This Item
- Indicator that determines if multiple lot license plates are allowed for the item. This is checked during receipt and inventory moves to provide additional control for the item.
- Manual Setup Required
- Indicator that determines whether manual setup is required for this item.
- Inbound QC Location
- Location used when an outbound inspection location has not been specified for an item to be inspected.
- Return Location
- Location used along with a putaway strategy when receiving an ASN with a Return type.
- Receipt Unit Label Name
- The Label Name of the Receipt Unit Label to be printed during RF receiving.
- Receipt Unit Label UOM
- The UOM to be used when printing Receipt Unit Labels. For example, if the Receipt Unit Label UOM is set to Case, a label is printed for each received case based on the received PACK. Receipt Unit Labels are not printed if the received PACK does not contain a value for the specified UOM.
- QC Complete on first receipt of item
- Indicates if the QC is performed the first time this item is received into the warehouse. This field is not selectable/editable on this screen. The field value (selected/not selected) indicated reflects the selection made within the Inbound QC sampling rule.
