Specify this information:
- Step Number
- The sequence in which the steps are to be processed. This is a numeric value that is used to sort the outbound strategy steps. Specific numbers are not used. However, the sequence is important.
- From Zone
- Indicates the starting location for the staging step. If an inventory is currently in this zone, the criteria for this step can be considered.
- To Zone
- Indicates the zone to which the staging is to be directed.
- From Location
- The location from which the products are moved.Note: If an inventory is currently in this location when the strategy is executed, this step can be considered. If the inventory is not in this location, this step in the strategy is skipped.
- To Location
- The location to which the products are to be moved.
- Search Type
- Determines the suitable location using the strategy on the zone. Possible
values:
- If From Zone find a location in zone specified on
step
- The zone is populated on the strategy step.
- Determines the location where the Drop ID or Case ID to be picked and determines the zone from that location.
- If the zone on the step and the zone for the Drop ID or Case ID match, you can continue with the location search. Else, this step is not considered.
- If From Zone use to location
- The zone is populated on the strategy step, and the search is performed. If the zone is not populated, the step is not considered.
- If the inventory on the Drop ID or Case ID is in a location that is in the zone on the step, the task is created with the To Location.
- If the To Location is not populated, the step is not considered.
- If From Loc find location in zone specified on
this step
- If the Drop ID or Case ID is in the From Location populated on the step, a search is performed for a suitable location in the zone specified on the step.
- If the from location does not match, this step is not considered.
- If the From location or the To Zone is not populated, this step is not considered.
- Use to Location
- Use the To Location specified in the step.
- If the To Location is not populated, this step is not considered.
- If From zone find an empty location closest to a location using the commingle rule in the zone specified on this step: Determines the nearest location by calculating the absolute distance from the zone using the interleaving sequence.
- If From Loc find an empty location closest to a location using the commingle rule in the zone specified on this step: Determines the nearest location by calculating the absolute distance from the location using the interleaving sequence.
- If From Zone find a location in zone specified on
step
- Location Commingle Rule
- The commingle rule for the location. Possible values:
- None
- Must be Empty: The location must have a balance on hand of zero overall (all items)
- Must be Same Order: The location can hold more than one Case ID, or Drop ID. However, the CASE ID must be for same order in the location.
- Must be same Ship TO: The location
can hold more than one Case ID. However, the CASE ID must be
for the same Ship To for the CaseID in the location. Note: If the Drop ID has more than one ship to cannot be commingled into this location.
- Use Extensibility Rule: The location is based on the extensible rule that is defined in the Rule Maintenance screen at the Enterprise level.
- Dimension Restrictions
- Validates if the product being moved can fit in to the designated location based
on the capacity limits. Possible values:
- Fit by Cube: The product is picked
into a drop ID, which represents the carton type. Therefore,
the sum of the cubes of all pick details is not an accurate
cube of the carton type.Note:
- The cube of the carton type is calculated using the Length, Width, and height of the carton type.
- If there are multiple carton types in the case IDs, the fit test cannot be used and the step is not considered.
- Fit by Stack Limit, number of IDs allowed: The stack limit and footprint are used to determine the Case IDs, or Drop IDS allowed in the location.
- Fit by Stack Limit, number of orders allowed: The stack limit and footprint are used to determine the shipment orders allowed in the location
- Fit by Cube: The product is picked
into a drop ID, which represents the carton type. Therefore,
the sum of the cubes of all pick details is not an accurate
cube of the carton type.
- Extensible Business Rule
- The rule that can be applied to the strategy.Note: This field is enabled only if the Location Commingle Rule field value is set to Use Extensibility Rule.
