Configuring System Codes

Infor WMS dialogs consist of many drop-down fields. The options that populate most of the drop-down lists come from the Codes setup of the application. Some examples of drop-down lists to which the user can add options are adjustment reasons, quantity types, and order or purchase order types.

Occasionally, it is necessary to add a new code or group of codes that does not fit into any of the current code lists. In this case, a new list must be created before adding the codes. However, new lists should not be created without assistance from Customer Support.

Note: Adding an option to a drop-down list that uses the application business logic does not add logic to a client-specific option. For example, a putaway strategy type added to a drop-down list does not perform tasks.
