Picking end-to-end serial tracking items containing other weight or data

Because the items you configure for end-to-end serial tracking are tracked from receipt through shipment, additional weight or data capture that you record at receiving is associated with the serial number. Therefore, the capture at time of picking only needs to include the scan of the serial number not the other information you record at receipt.

As with other end-to-end serial item procedures, you must record serial numbers only during the pick if you pick a partial license plate.

For this example, cluster picking by order will be used.

  1. Access the pick task based on the order number.
  2. Confirm the pick as directed by the RF unit.
  3. Because you must capture only the serial number at picking, use the standard Serial Capture (SM20) screen to capture multiple serial numbers for the picked quantity.
