Capture weight unit of measure
When weight is captured as part of the catch weight process for items at receiving or picking, all weights are assumed to use the same unit of measure (UOM) such as pounds or kilograms. If the product has a weight that is a different UOM than pounds or kilograms, then you can specify the correct UOM in the Weight Capture UOM field on the Weight/Data tab on the Enterprise Item screen. This UOM is then transferred to the Weight UOM field on the RF Weight/Data screen.
On the RF Weight/Data screen, if the UOM is not correct, then you can change the UOM in the
Weight Uom field. You can also scan in a product
weight if a barcode is available for scanning. When a conversion occurs, the weight UOM
specified in this field is used in the Weight UOM
