Using the workstation to capture outbound weight, serial numbers, or data
You can view the specific weight, serial, or data information that you record as part of the pick process by accessing the record through the Shipment Order.
In addition to viewing weight, data, and serial information for outbound orders, you can also use this screen to create and modify this information.
If the item is configured for summary weight capture and RF picking is not being used to pick the product and record the weights associated to the pick, you may need to maintain the total weight for the pick. During allocation the system updates the expected weight for the pick based on the quantity allocated, the quantity on the license plate that is being allocated, and the current weights on the license plate that is being allocated
To capture outbound weight, serial numbers, or data at the workstation:
- Select Shipment Order screen is displayed. . The
- To display a list of shipment orders, use the Search feature.
- Click the tab on the order header to view information about the items that were picked.
- Click the Detail icon for a specific pick. A detailed view of the pick information is displayed.
- If necessary, you can modify the summary weights on the pick. Modify the summary weights prior to updating the record to Picked status so that the correct weight is moved from the pick location as the status changes. If the item does not require specific serial or data information to be recorded, proceed to Step 8 to save the weight information.
- Click the Catch Weight/Data tab to view a list of weights or data, including serial numbers, that was captured for the current pick record.

- To add serial numbers, use the Serial Number Long field.
- Specify the weight in the Received Weight field or other required data in fields Data Capture 2 – Data Capture 5. If the item is configured for End to End Serial Capture and Inbound Catch Weight tracking, the weight information used for the pick is calculated by the system using the weights associated with each serial number.
