Phase 2: Batch orders

To create batch orders:

  1. Click Function > Batch Orders. A pop-up screen is displayed that lists the active sort stations.
  2. Select the applicable sort station for the current wave and click Submit.
    • The original order status is updated to Batched.
    • The original order header is updated with the Batch Order Number.
    • The original order detail is updated with the Batch Order Number and the Batch Order Line Number.
  3. Click Action and select Release to allocate and release the orders. The release of batch orders initiates the pick process in the warehouse by:
    • Creating pick tasks.
      • The Batch Order can be picked by any picking option.
      • You can pick the To ID/Drop ID of any value, not just the Batch Carton ID (Case ID).
      • During picking, you can select any Pick To location, and then later use the Trip to Dock or Move ID to move the Sort Station.

    • Allocating the batched orders using normal allocation with the allocation strategy on the order detail.
  4. Verify the results:
    • To verify the results of allocation, click the Allocated tab on the wave.
    • To verify the results of the created batched orders, click the Batch Details tab on the wave.
