Batch picking overview

Batch picking is used in a warehouse operation to save labor and time. When a warehouse has numerous small orders, standard picking methods require a trip through the warehouse for each order picked. Batch picking allows product for several orders to be picked simultaneously, followed by a sortation process to assemble the individual customer orders.
