Creating appointments
You can create appointments from the
Appointment List view or from the Dock Scheduling view. From the Appointment List view, you
can toggle to a calendar view that provides a day by day appointment time-line. You can
also select the Dock Scheduling view to view appointments by dock availability.
- Click New on the Scheduling page.

From the Appointment
Detail page, complete these fields:
- Appointment Time
- Drag the slider bar to specify the when the appointment start and end time. The default appointment duration is established in the System Settings page.
- Appointment Number
- Specify the appointment number to override the system default.
- Status
- Specify the status of the appointment. The default value is Scheduled.
- Carrier
- Optionally, specify the carrier for this appointment.
- Trailer
- Optionally, specify the trailer number for this appointment.
- Trailer Type
- Optionally, specify the type of trailer for this appointment.
- Trailer Location
- Optionally, specify the yard location for this appointment. The default yard location is established in the System Settings page. Complete this field when the trailer gets checked into the yard.
- Click the User Defined tab to input any additional information.
- To associate an ASN or shipment order with the appointment, click the ASN/Orders tab. where an inbound or outbound order can be linked to the appointment. A list of all open receipts or shipment orders displays. Select the receipts or orders for this appointment. You can associate multiple receipts or orders with an appointment.
- Click the Dock Schedule tab to change the servicing time of when the trailer is going to be at the door to be serviced. Note that you cannot service a trailer outside of the appointment time, as the trailer will be out of the yard during that time.
- Click Save to create the appointment.
