Query Builder – Query Filter

The Query Builder – Query Filter page is used to define the specific parameters the system uses to select the orders that can be included on the wave. The query filter screen provides an easy-to-use tool to determine wave orders.

  1. Specify the required information in Order, Operator, First Value, Second Value, and And/Or fields (described in the table below).
  2. Click Save. The first search condition is saved in the display and a new line becomes available to enter the next parameter if additional search conditions are required.
  3. Repeat this process to create as many lines in the query filter as needed.
  4. After you enter all of the conditions, select:
    • Actions > Show Order List to see the list of orders that match the search criteria.
    • Actions > Save Filter to save the criteria in a search filter that you can use at a later date or include as part of the scheduler.
    Order Field
Selection criteria. From this drop-down list, choose your selection criteria, such as Owner, Order Date, Requested Ship Date, and many others. You can use these values to search for shipment orders.
    Operator
Various query conditions are contained in a drop-down menu. Examples of operators available are =, <, >, and ‘between’. Select the operator to create a query, and apply it to the selection criteria you chose in the Order Field above.
    First Value
Value of the criteria shown in Order field. The value of the criteria chosen in Order field can be given in this field. For example, you can indicate a specific Owner if you have selected Owner in the Order field. See the "Notes" section below for information on how to use the date parameters.
    Second Value
Second value of the criteria shown in the Order field. The second value of the criteria can be given in this field. This only applies if the operator expects more than one value, such as In, Not In, Between, and Not Between.
    And/Or
    Search conditions.
    • Use And if the conditions of both the current row and the next row are to be met when determining orders to select.
    • Use Or if the condition included on this row is independent of the condition to be applied to the next row when determining orders to select.
