Consolidation – Item consolidation and selection of Speed Pick locations
You can consolidate items on a wave by selecting on the Wave Maintenance screen. After you click to confirm consolidation, the Eligible Items - Speed Pick Location screen is displayed.
- Owner
- Owner of the item to be consolidated.
- Item
- Code identifying the item.
- Description
- Description of the item.
- Piece Pick Location
- Current assigned piece-pick location of the item.
- Case Pick Location
- Current assigned case-pick location of the item.
- Speed Location
- Location from which you want to pick the item. You can either
specify the speed pick location; or click the icon to display the list of speed pick locations, and then
select the applicable entry. You can specify a location for each entry in the list
or:
- If you want to use the same speed pick location for all items on the wave, click . All Speed Location fields are populated with the speed pick location.
- If you want to use another speed pick location for some of the entries, clear the applicable Speed Location fields. Specify or look up the desired speed pick location in one of the Speed Location fields. Click to populate the blank Speed Location fields are populated with the speed pick location.
- Maximum Location Quantity
- Maximum quantity of the item that can be retrieved from a speed location.
- Wave Total
- Total item quantity that must be retrieved for a wave.
Note: If the total quantity ordered for a wave is less than the value specified in the Minimum Wave Quantity field, allocation is performed from a standard location and not from a speed location.
- Minimum Wave Quantity
- Minimum item quantity of the item that must be retrieved for a wave.
Once you have specified speed locations, click .
- The system consolidates all entries with a speed pick location specified.
- If no entries have a speed pick location specified, a message is displayed indicating that no items on the wave are configured for consolidation so the wave cannot be consolidated.
