Demand replenishment with speed picking
The demand replenishment with speed picking functionality provides an enhanced process to increase the efficiency of the speed line location assignment and creation of replenishment information to support operations.
- Enhance order consolidation used to assign speed picks to include additional factors when
determining a speed pick location to assign.
- Use of a strategy to select the speed pick location. This allows for more targeted placement of speed pick locations.
- Provide the ability to force speed pick locations to a specific lot. This is useful for additional picking accuracy and when filling orders using existing logic to allocate specific inventory based on requirements set on the order details (allocation by lottable).
- Trigger replenishments using demand based on a group of orders.
- Similar to a wave but likely to include a larger set of orders (such as orders for the entire day). The replenishment process is more efficient because a larger set of orders is used to plan the work.
- The source location for replenishments is calculated based on the replenishment strategy. This does not override lot rotation rules or requirements from allocation by lottable, but does provide assistance in configuring the locations you want to replenish from.
