Configuring putaway restrictions for returns

You can configure restrictions on the Putaway Strategy Detail screen to determine the way the application generates putaway tasks.

To configure a putaway strategy:

Select Configuration > Strategies > Putaway.
Do one of the following:
- To display a list, use the Search feature.
- Click New and create a new putaway strategy.
If you selected an existing putaway strategy, click the Detail icon for the putaway strategy, and then click the Detail icon for a putaway strategy detail. The Putaway Detail screen is displayed.
Click the Item Detail tab. Parameters specifically designed for control of Return receipts are available from this screen. These include:
- Receipt Type: Select Returns from the drop-down to menu
- Receipt Disposition: Select a disposition that should be used to direct the putaway to a specific zone or location in the event of a return that has been identified with this disposition.
- For example, if the disposition assigned to the returned product is Damage, you can choose to direct the putaway to a location called DAMAGE.
- If the disposition assigned to the returned product is Return to Stock, you can direct the returned product to an available location.
