Performing a license plate receipt with a single item on the license plate

Use the Single Scan LPN option to record with a single barcode scan the receipt of one or more items on a license plate against an ASN/Receipt. The ASN/Receipt detail information must include specific item and license plate information.

Note: The Single Scan License Plate receipt screen is not used to for receipts with type of Case Level or SSCC. See Receiving a case level and SSCC type receipt.

If the item requires weight, data, or serial number capture and the information exists for the ASN/Receipt, that information is received during this process. If the information does not exist, the operator is prompted to capture it.

The flow is slightly different depending on whether one item or multiple items are on the license plate.

To perform a license plate receipt with a single item on the license plate:

  1. Select Single Scan LPN. The initial screen is displayed.
  2. Specify the pallet ID or license plate.
  3. Scan the license plate and press Enter. The LPN Receipt screen, LPR3, is displayed with the ASN/Receipt information.

    The Any lot attributes that require you to specify information for the item are displayed on this screen.

    • If lot attributes are included with the expected receipt information for the license plate, the attributes are displayed for the operator to review or change.
    • If the expected receipt does not include lot attribute information, the lot attributes are blank on the LPN Receipt screen, LPR3 and the operator must scan or specify the information during receipt.
  4. If needed, update the lot attributes or receiving location.
  5. To save your changes, press Enter.
