Creating outbound load reports

You can create Outbound Loads that include multiple owners and/or ship to customers. Therefore, you may need to create a special report format for the Bill of Lading or Master Bill of Lading by Carrier. These can be specified on the Reports tab of the Carrier configuration screen.

The criteria used to determine the report format to print for the Bill of Lading by Load (Master Bill of Lading) and the Bill of Lading by Order is defined below.

Bill of Lading by Load (Master Bill of Lading):

  • For the Bill of Lading by Load type, search for a record in the Reports configuration tab for the carrier assigned to the load in the Load Maintenance screen.
  • If there is not a record found for the carrier, search for a record in the owner Reports configuration tab with the same Owner and Ship To found on the first shipment order header assigned to the load.
Note: Since there could be multiple owners and ship to customers included on the load, the system selects the format to use based on the first order found.
  • If there is not a record set up for the owner/ship to combination, search for a record in the owner reports configuration with the same Owner found on the shipment order header.
Note: Since there could be multiple owners included on the load, the system selects the format to use based on the first order found.
  • If there is not a record set up for the owner, print the standard report format (CRPT77).

Bill of Lading by Order (Bill of Lading):

  • For the Bill of Lading by Load type, search for a record in the Reports configuration tab for the Carrier assigned to the load in the Load Maintenance screen.
  • If there is not a record found for the carrier, search for a record in the owner Reports configuration tab with the same Owner and Ship To found on the first shipment order header assigned to the load.
  • If there is not a record set up for the owner/ship to combination, search for a record in the owner reports configuration with the same Owner found on the shipment order header.
  • If there is not a record set up for the owner, print the standard report format (CRPT76).
