Activating automatic report printing within SCE

You can turn on or off the background printing of reports within the Personalization screen.

To change this parameter:

  1. Select WMS > Administration > User Personalizations.
  2. Select the Background Printing Flag setting.
    • With this flag selected, you can print and display the reports in the background based on the settings for each report on the Reports screen.
    • You can only print reports from the Reports drop-down item on the screen toolbar.
    • The Default Printer is the printer at the user level. Reports are printed at the default printer if there is no printer set at the report level or at the User by report level as detailed in Configuring a report printer for automatic report printing.
    • The selections on the Default tab are user-level settings and differ for each user. If the Background Printing Flag and User Level Printer Flag settings are not selected, the ability to specify a report for each user is not available.
    • If the User Level Printer Flag is selected, then the user level printer has a higher precedence than the report level printer.

      With the User Level Printer Flag selected, the printer precedence is:

      • Report by user level printer
      • User level printer
      • Report level printer
      • System level printer

      With the User Level Printer Flag not selected (cleared), the printer precedence is:

      • Report by user level printer
      • Report level printer
      • User level printer
      • System level printer
  3. Click Save.
