Special instructions for full case or pallet pick (OP01A) screen

Note: 
  • Picking notes only display if they have been entered at either the Item or Shipment Order detail level. See the previous section for details.
  • Picking notes display after you enter all required data on the RF and press Enter for the first time. This occurs before the application committing the transaction to the database.
  • Picking notes fields display whatever has been specified, up to a maximum of 255 characters.

To accept/process special instructions using the Paper Pick (OP01A) screen:

  1. From the RF device Main menu, select Picking (4). The Pick Menu (PM1) screen is displayed.
  2. Select Paper Pick. The Manual Pick (OP01A) screen is displayed.

  3. Specify this information:
    LOC
    Location of the item before picking.
    ITEM
    Item code.
    LPN
    License Plate Number associated with the item.
    QTY
    Amount of item to be picked from the designated location.
    case
    Label number or case ID that identifies the case or lot that is bar-coded on the case or pallet.
    newid
    Drop ID for the item.
    Loc
    New location for the item.
    SHORT
    Y or N (Yes or No) designator that indicates whether the pick was shorted (default is N).
  4. Press Enter. The RF device transmits the data to the database.
  5. If special instructions are associated with the shipment order or the item, they display here. When special instructions are defined for both the item and the shipment order detail, both display on the RF device. Special instructions defined for the item display first (NTS1), followed by those defined for the shipment order detail (NTS2). See the following example.

  6. To scroll messages, press the up and down arrow keys.
  7. To accept the entry, press Enter twice. A blank Manual Pick (OP01A) screen is displayed, ready for the next pick task.
  8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 until all pick tasks are complete.
  9. To return to the screen, press Esc.
