Performing a cluster pick by wave and item

The cluster pick by wave and item option filters specific items when cluster picking within the wave.

  1. Select Picking from the RF device Main Menu. The Pick Menu (PM1) screen is displayed.
  2. Select Cluster Picking. The Cluster Pick (TM20) menu is displayed.
  3. Select By Wave & Item to specify the wave number to pick. The screen Enter Wave & Item is displayed.
  4. Specify this information:
    Area
    Specify the area as configured in the application to search for open pick tasks. You must have permission to pick in the designated area. If this field is blank, the application accesses tasks for all of the areas to which you have permission.
    Seq
    Use the arrow keys to choose the sequence for the picks. Select Forward (default) for picks by location starting with the lowest location route sequence first. Select Reverse for picks in the other direction.
    Wave#
    Scan or specify the wave number in the required field.
    Item
    Scan or specify the item number in the required field.

    The system retrieves the pick tasks for an item. If there are multiple pick tasks for an item, the system sorts by pick quantity from highest to lowest.

    After the picks are complete, the Picks Complete message screen is displayed.

  5. Press Enter. The Enter Wave & Item screen displays again with the previous Wave# field populated. The user can scan the next item and continue picking.
