RF Picking Overview
When picking using the RF device, you have these options:
- RF-assisted picking
 - RF-directed picking

Using RF-assisted and RF-directed picking
RF picking provides current information about picking activities. The application provides information about events as they happen; you do not need to wait for the return of paperwork. With RF-directed picking, many operations use a paperless approach to picking, which can reduce daily operating expenses.
Common examples for RF-assisted picking and RF-directed picking
These are examples of RF-assisted picking and RF-directed picking:
- Scanning the serial numbers that are bar coded on products improves accuracy and efficiency
 - Cycle counting occurs during the picking shift. RF picking ensures that the application counts reflect a real-time balance.
 - Frequent picking errors require the positive verification during the picking process.
