Packing Configuration
-
UIPackAutoCreateToIDIfBlank - Automatically
create the To ID if left blank.
Turn on this setting to enable the system to automatically generate a new To ID if the user leaves the To ID field blank and then tabs or clicks out of the field. The To ID is generated using the PACKTOID counter along with the prefix and length settings from the Facility record. A Drop ID record is created and saved for the To ID.
Note: The To ID will only be created if the user has selected a default Carton Type on the Settings screen. -
UIPackAutoCreateToIDIfNotBlank - Automatically
create a Drop ID for a non-blank To ID.
Turn on this setting to enable the system to automatically create a new Drop ID record for the To ID if the user scans or specifies a value into the To ID field and then tabs or clicks out of the field.
Note: The To ID will only be created if the user has selected a default Carton Type on the Settings screen.
- Packing To ID Prefix
The Packing To ID Prefix is used by the Packing screen to generate new To IDs. This prefix, the PACKTOID counter, and the Packing To ID Length are used to build the new ID.
- Packing To ID Length
This field defines the total length of new To IDs generated by the Packing screen.
- To ID Generation Example
- PACKTOID counter value = 1234567890
- Facility To ID Prefix = "WH1-"
- Facility To ID Length = 12
- Calculate the number
of counter digits:
To ID Length 12 - Prefix length 4 = 8 counter digits
- Use 8 significant digits from PACKTOID - 34567890 (strip off the first 2 digits)
- Generated To ID = WH1-34567890
