Sections overview

You can organize your facility into sections. Sections include:

• Travel

  Travel sections organize the facility into specific areas of aisles with similar characteristics. You can configure travel within and between sections precisely to accurately identify the valid travel paths across the facility. The Distance Engine uses the travel section and connection records to calculate travel distances and convert the distance to travel time for standards calculations.

• Drawing lines

  To monitor travel routes, the system uses a graphical engine to display a visual representation of your facility, including all of your travel sections, connections, aisles, and locations. You can use the Drawing Line to add reference lines to the drawings the graphical engine generates. The system displays the lines based on the color and position you assign. These are not functionally used for travel calculations; they are used only for cosmetic realism.
