Defining Operation Chooser records
Operation chooser records associate a WMS task with a LM operation record. Each WMS request is processed against the operation choosers to determine which operation to use for the standards calculations.
To create an operation chooser record:
- Select Labor > Labor Standards > Operations > Operation Chooser. The system displays the Operation Chooser list.
- Click New. The system displays the Operation Header/Detail form.
-
Use the field information below to define the Operation Chooser.
- Sequence
- Specify the sequence in which the system checks this operation chooser record when it receives a task from the WMS. If the operation chooser configuration does not match the task details, the system then checks the next operation chooser record. The system uses the first record that matches; you must logically sequence operation chooser records especially those for the same types of tasks.
- Name
- The identification for this operation chooser record.
- Active
- Indicates whether this operation chooser record is active. If this checkbox is not selected, the system skips this operation chooser when processing tasks from WMS.
- Operation Code
- The operation record to use for the task if the operation chooser details match the task details.
- Operation Active
- Indicates whether the specified Operation Code is active and therefore will be considered in labor calculations. You cannot change this value here; you can only change this value on the original Operation record.
- Work Type
- The general type of task, such as Pick, Replenishment, or Putaway. Operation chooser records use the work type and sub-type to link WMS task records with LM operation records.
- Sub-Type
- The task sub-type. For example, for picking work types, the sub-types might include assignment picking or cluster picking.
