Creating physical inventory holds

You can create inventory holds for each location affected by the parameters set for the physical. This optional function prevents additional activities from occurring against the inventory during the physical count process. This can be completed before or after the count records are created. Holds are indicated with the reason code PIHOLD (Physical Inventory Hold).

To create a physical inventory hold:

  1. Select WMS > Execution > Cycle Count > New Physical Control.
  2. Click Search to display the list of records.
  3. Select the applicable control number.
  4. Click Actions > Put Inventory on Hold.
