Creating a new count record via RF

From the RF device, you can manually enter a count record that does not exist in the current count release. This situation would occur if a product (LPN/item) was counted in a location but the system did not have a record of that product being part of current inventory. This typically occurs during the normal count process flow as the operator attempts to enter a count in a location for a license plate but the system inventory does not indicate the item/LPN exists in the location.

To create a new count record:

  1. Specify the location and LPN in the corresponding Loc and Lpn fields; press Enter twice.

If the Location entered is valid but the LPN is not found, a message indicating that the specified LPN does not exist in the specified location is displayed. At this point, you must enter specific count information to record the item, license plate, and other information about the product being counted in the location.

  2. After verifying the LPN and/or Item entered is correct, click Yes to capture count information.

  4. If a license plate exists on the product, enter it in the Lpn field. Specify the count quantity in the Qty field. If the item requires lot attributes to be captured, these fields are included on this screen for you to update and record as part of the count information. If the system can determine the system lot number based on the lot attributes entered, the lot number is populated when the record is saved. If not, the lot number will be determined during the Validate Count Records process; see Validating the count records.

  5. Continue to press Enter to navigate through the remaining fields until the Physical Count PC2 screen is displayed again. You can enter the count information for the next count record.
