Task assignment during move

When the RF move function is used to move a license plate in inventory, the system checks the existing task queue to see if there is an open task (such as a putaway, pick, or move) for the current license plate. If there is already a task, the move cannot be completed. Here are the possible results:

If the RF user does not have permission for the type of task that is open, a message is displayed and the task is not performed .

If the RF user does have permission for the type of task that is open, a message is displayed and a choice is given to the operator.

There is an open task for this license plate, do you want to perform that task?

- Yes - present the open task to the RF operator
- No - return the operator to the move screen

Select Replen & Move (RPMV) > LPN Move. The Move LPN (RL01LP) screen is displayed.
Scan or specify information to execute the move.
Specify information in the From fields:
LPN

License plate of the product to be moved. Required.

In Transit Loc
Temporary location for the first step of the move transaction. This field can be used differently depending on operation needs. Possible uses include:
- Use a default value of INTRANSIT to show the inventory is in process. If always leaving this as INTRANSIT, the RF screen can be modified to hide the field from the user.
- Allow the operator to enter or scan a different temporary location, such as an equipment ID number. This improves the tracking of the physical location of the inventory while the move is in process.
A quantity is not required because this screen assumes the entire license plate is being moved. The quantity defaults to zero and does not display on the screen

Note: Since this screen is only for full pallets, the serial number capture screen will not be displayed. All serial numbers existing on the license plate being moved will be moved to the new location automatically.

Note: Before completing step 1 of the move, the system will check the open task queue for the license plate entered. If there is a Pending task, the operator will be asked if they want to perform that task if they have permission to perform that type of task. If they choose to not perform the task, they will be returned to the initial move screen. The license plate cannot be moved if there is an open task.
