Using cycle counts

Following are common reasons that a warehouse would perform a cycle count:

• A cycle count can be performed regularly to avoid discrepancies between the application’s inventory balances and actual location quantities.
• A cycle count can be requested for a specific location if you are unable to complete another task because the actual quantity in a location differs from the application balances.
• Auditors can require cycle counts two to three times per year per item.
