Owner screen

Some default information can be set at the owner level. These defaults are applied to new items when they are created through the workstation.

Note:  Changing these defaults does not update existing items that are assigned to an owner. They are only used when manually creating new items through the workstation.

On the Task tab, select the following options:

Default Item Rotation

Choose the default rotation from the list.

  • Lot – Rotate according to the Infor WMS Warehouse Management lot number.
  • Lottable04 – Refers to Manufacture Date captured as the Lot04 value.
  • Lottable05 – Refers to Expiration Date captured as the Lot05 value.
  • Lottable01, Lottable02, Lottable03, Lottable06, Lottable07, Lottable08, Lottable09, and Lottable10 values can also be used to determine the item rotation. It is important to note that these fields are alpha-numeric in nature, so the type of values captured is critical to allow the system to sort the lots correctly.

Default Rotation

  • FIFO – Rotate by First In First Out using the value designated for Item Rotation (Lot, Lottable04, or Lottable05). In short, oldest product is shipped first.
  • LIFO – Rotate by Last In First Out using the value designated for Item Rotation (Lot, Lottable04, or Lottable05). In short, newest product is shipped first.

Default Strategy

The default strategy used to allocate products. These are the options for dynamic picking:

  • STD3 – Dynamic Picking without Cartonization

Picks are distributed to operators by order number.

  • DACTN – Dynamic Picking with Cartonization

Allocation uses cartonization rules to determine which items should be placed in the same container during picking. Picks are distributed to operators by the container ID assigned by the system during allocation.

These strategies have been configured for soft allocation, meaning the specific location or license plate is determined during the allocation process. The specifics are determined during the pick process.
