Receiving transship containers

The transship process begins when the transship container arrives at the distribution center. When a transship receipt is entered into the RF device, a transship file stores the orders populated from the receipt.

The easiest way to receive transship containers into the facility is to use an RF device. You can also enter information on a workstation using the Transship Maintenance screen.

To receive transship containers:

  1. From the RF device Main menu, select Receiving.

    The Printer ID (PID) screen is displayed.

  2. In PRNT, specify the printer ID and press Enter. The Receiving Menu (RCM) screen is displayed.
  3. Select More Options.
  4. Select Crossdock. The Crossdock Rcpt (RXM) screen is displayed.
  5. Select Transship. The Transship Tasks (TRT) screen is displayed.
  6. Select Transship Receive. The Transship RCV (RC13) screen is displayed.
  7. Specify information in the appropriate fields.
  8. Press Enter twice. The RF device transmits the data to the database and then is displayed a new screen for the next record.
    Note:  If invalid data is entered, the application displays an error message. Correct the data and then try again.
  9. Repeat Steps 5-8 until all records have been entered.
  10. To return to the main menu, press Esc.
