Managing lanes

Lane Management ensures that all items are assigned and placed in the correct lanes. The Lane Management screen assigns a customer or item to a lane.

To manage lane assignments:

  1. Select Crossdock > Management > Lane. The Lane Management screen is displayed.
  2. To add a new lane assignment, click New. The Lane Detail screen is displayed in Form View.
  3. In Lane, specify the name of the lane.
  4. Select a lane type.
    Note: 
    • If you select Customer Lane, Outbound Lane, or Divert Lane you must specify a customer or owner in the Owner/Customer field.
    • If you select Item Lane, you must specify an owner in the Owner/Customer field and an item in the Item field.
  5. Click Save.

Modify existing lane records

  1. Select Crossdock > Management > Lane. The Lane screen is displayed.
  2. To display a list, use the Search feature.
  3. Select the lane you want to modify.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Click Save.
    Note:  If you attempt to create a lane assignment for a lane that has already been assigned, a warning message displays.
