Lottable display and validation rules

You must configure new lottable display and validation rules for the new design to function correctly.

Bio-terrorism Law requirements

The manufacture lot must be captured for products covered under the Bio-terrorism law. Creating a new lottable display and validation for Bio-terrorism and assigning validation to products that have been marked as Bio-terrorism products accomplishes this. With the exception of Lottable04 and Lottable05, you can use any lottable to capture the manufacturer’s lot.

COOL requirements

The warehouse must ensure that all products have the proper Country of Origin Labels (COOL) for the shipping unit. Therefore, the warehouse must be able to verify that product was received with the proper labeling.

  • Creating a new lottable display and validation for COOL, and assigning validation to products labeled as COOL accomplishes this. For example, you would enter a Y into the Lottable02 field, (or whichever lottable field is applicable) when the product is properly labeled, and an N when it is not properly labeled. This allows the warehouse to perform special processing for product that is improperly labeled.
  • The RF Receiving screen, RC10, should be modified (using PREditor) to make the Lottable02 field (or whichever lottable field is applicable) a Y or N (yes or no) type, editable, and able to change the label to COOL Req.

If a warehouse determines that it must capture and track the country of origin, an additional label field is used.

  • Creating a new lottable display and validation for COOL, and assigning validation to products labeled as COOL accomplishes this. It allows the warehouse to track the inventory based on the country of origin.
  • The RF Receiving screen, RC10, should be modified (using PREditor) to make the Lottable03 field (or whichever lottable field is applicable) editable and able to change the label to C/O.
  • Additional validation templates might need to be configured because of the combination of COOL and Bio-terrorism laws. No additional information needs to be captured, but a validation template that captures one, two, or all three pieces of information could be required.

See the Infor WMS Configuration User Guide for more information on lottable display and validation, and the Installation Guide to modify prompts.ini using PREditor.
