Slotting Group

To create a slotting group:

  1. From the WMS menu, selectConfiguration > Codes > Slotting Group to open the Slotting Group screen.
  2. Click New to access the Slotting Group detail view.
  3. Specify this information:
    Slotting Group Name
    Unique identifier of the Slotting Group Name
    Location Category
    Selecting the physical location type such as drive through rack or horizontal carousel.
    Un-assign when
    Select the release type. The release type will control when the assignment can be completed:
    • Immediate - The location is empty and not assigned to another item or the location selected by the system is assigned to another item and there is not an allocated quantity.
    • Empty - The location assignment cannot be completed until the balance in the location is zero.
    Slot Strategy
    The type of slotting strategy to be used.
    Minimum capacity - percent of pallet UOM
    Minimum percent of pallet allowed in the assigned location. If a pallet quantity is not established for an item, the Minimum Capacity will be set to 0.
    Maximum capacity - percent of pallet UOM
    Maximum percent of pallet allowed in the assigned location.If a pallet quantity is not established for an item, the Maximum Capacity will be set to 0.
    Minimum Replenishment UOM
    Minimum Unit of Measure (UOM) you can use before a replenishment task is triggered.
    Location Type
    Type of storage location required. Options include:
    • Layer
    • Case
    • Piece
