Configuring proactive replenishment rule

To configure a proactive replenishment rule:

  1. Select Configuration > Strategies > Item Slotting Plan By Zone. The Item Slotting Plan By Zone screen is displayed.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this information in the Slotting Information section:
    Proactive Replenishment Code
    A unique code for proactive replenishment. This is a required field.
    Note: By default, this field value is blank.
    Location Handling
    The type of packaging approved for storage in the location. This is a required field.
    Owner
    The name of the owner. Select from the list. This is a required field.
    Note: By default, this field value is blank.
    Item
    The item for which proactive replenishment is to be created. Select the value from the list. This is a required field.
    Note: By default, this field value is blank.
    Description
    The description of the item.
    Replenishment Strategy
    A unique code for the replenishment strategy. Select the value from the list. This is a required field.
    Replenishment Putaway Strategy
    A unique code for the replenishment putaway strategy. Select the value from the list. This is a required field.
    Replenishment Priority
    Indicates priority for the replenishment.
    Note: By default, this value is set to 9.
    Lot Status
    The status of the supplier lot inventory.
    LPN Status
    The status of the LPN inventory.
    Location Status
    The status of the location inventory.
  4. Specify this information in the Replenishment Based In Open Orders section:
    Picking UOM In Location
    The Type of Picking UOM to replenish. Possible options:
    • Each
    • Case
    • Layer
    Calculation Considerations
    The type of calculation to be linked for proactive replenishment. Possible options:
    • Consider Stock In Other Proactive Replenishment Code: If this check box is selected, replenishments are created from other proactive replenishment codes to the same Owner or Item.
    • Zone Replenishment Only When Qty < Minimum
    • Hold Lot Status
    • Consider Qty Preallocated: If this check box is selected, the lot’s pre allocated quantity is considered when creating the replenishment tasks.
    • Dependent Proactive Replenishment
    Dependent Proactive Replenishment Code
    A unique code of dependent proactive replenishment.
    Note: This field is enabled only if the Dependent Proactive Replenishment check box is selected.
    Rotate By
    Determines the item to be replenished first. This is a required field.
    Note: 
    • This field value is based on the Rotation field.
    • This value can be the twelve lot attributes or the lot number.
    Rotation
    Determines the rotation type for an item during replenishment. This is a required field. Possible values:
    • FIFO - First In, First Out
    • LIFO - Last In, First Out
  5. Specify this information in the Replenishment Based In Forecast section:
    Period For Calculation Of Max Capacity (Days Back)
    The days to consider while recalculating the proposed maximum capacity.
    Quantity Of Days Required In Picking
    The number of days to pick an item.
    Estimated Maximum Capacity
    The value of an average daily picking. This value is calculated based on the Period For Calculation Of Max Capacity field for the location type, item, and owner.
    Note: This value cannot be modified.
    Last Estimation Date
    The date on which the estimation is performed.
    Minimum Capacity (Master Unit)
    The minimum units required to create replenishment tasks. This is a required field.
    Maximum Capacity (Master Unit)
    The maximum units to be stored in the picking zone. This is a required field.
    Maximum Number Of Pick Location By Item In The Location Handling
    The maximum number of picking locations to be assigned for an item.
    Note: By default, this value is set to 9999.
  6. Click Save.
